SIMPLE QBO TIPS FOR SMALL BUSINESSES
Software, tech, apps, reports, the list goes on and on for what you can use to help streamline your business. One tool we use is QuickBooks Online (QBO) for its ease of use and accounting capabilities. We are going to give you a few simple tips you can use to better utilize QBO.
duplicate screens
This is SUPER helpful for when you need to see data at the same time. To enhance your efficiency, use the Alt+D+ENTER shortcuts in Chrome to duplicate your current tab. This allows you to work on multiple tasks simultaneously without losing your place. You can also simply right click on your tab at the top of your browser and click duplicate.
Set up invoice reminders
Keeping track of overdue payments can be a hassle. QBO allows you to send automated reminders to your customers for overdue invoices. This feature helps maintain cash flow without altering the original invoice. Simply go to the "Settings" menu, “Company Settings”, “Sales” select "Reminders," and customize your preferences.
Recurring invoices
If you have clients who require regular services, setting up recurring invoices can save you a lot of time. In QBO, you can easily create a recurring invoice template. Go to the "Gear" tab, select "Recurring Transactions," and set up your invoice schedule. This ensures timely billing and consistent income.
Attach documents
Sharing sensitive documents like bank statements and tax forms is secure with QBO Attachments. This feature allows you to attach documents directly to transactions, ensuring they are safely stored and easily accessible.
By incorporating these tips into your daily routine, you can streamline your accounting processes and focus more on growing your business. Whether you're managing invoices, reminders, or multitasking, QBO has the tools you need to succeed.
